In 2009, Chris Mix began a part-time freelance position with CBS News. Between June 2009 - June 2020, Chris had the privilege of continuing his work with CBS, starting as a production associate, but quickly working to full time roles as an associate director and supervising graphics producer with the CBS Evening News. In his time with the Evening News, Chris worked under four anchors and managing editors including Katie Couric, Scott Pelley, Jeff Glor and Norah O’Donnell.

In addition to his work with the Evening News, Chris contributed to productions of The Early Show, CBS This Morning, 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, CBS Sunday Morning, Face The Nation, hundreds of Special Reports and Special Events including Presidential Debates, States of the Union, Election Night coverage and Inaugurations.

in 2014, Chris’s work received recognition from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his contributions to the 2013 CBS News Special coverage of the Boston Marathon Bombing and the subsequent events of the following week.
